Day 8 Cliffs of Moher

After an early morning interval run with Steph, we had breakfast and then made our way to the Cliffs of Moher experience.  It was so crowded with tourists.  After parking the car we walked towards the clifftops and then took the path going to the south.  The scenery was really spectacular and reminded us of Hoy in Orkney but there were just too many people on such a narrow path.  We walked as far as we could and then came back and took the path north up to a castle.  There was a long queue to get in so we didnt bother.  We decided not to walk further as the views were not going to change.

While outside the visitor centre Steph noticed a bird of prey and suspected it was a peregrine falcon.  I took some photos and we are fairly certain that is what it was.  There were also some very tame rooks looking for food.

We came back to Doolin Pier and again walked along the limestone pavement with Steph, Chris, Vicky and Gary and watched the ferries battling the waves.
